Insurance and Payment
When you arrive for your appointment at Interior Community Health Center, our front office staff will enroll you as a patient. You may qualify for a discount on your visit even if you have insurance. To determine your eligibility for discounted services, you will be asked to verify your household income and size.
Examples of proof of income include: Check stub(s), Tax Return, Social Security Letter, Income from self-employment, Alimony and/or child support, Public Assistance Letters
Should we determine you’re eligible for coverage under any additional programs, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with an Outreach & Enrollment Specialist. The Outreach worker can assist you with the enrollment process.
Proof of income is not a requirement to be seen in our clinic or to receive the discount at your first visit. However, if you do not provide proof of income within 15 days of your visit, you will be asked to pay the full fee for any services provided.
ICHC accepts Medicaid patients of all ages. If you’re insured through Denali KidCare (Medicaid), you can be seen at ICHC for medical, dental or behavioral health services. We can assist you in understanding or applying for Medicaid.
ICHC accepts Medicare patients of all ages. We will ask for your co-payment by cash, Visa or MasterCard.
ICHC accepts all major private insurance. If ICHC is not a preferred provider with your insurance, we will still bill and receive payment from them and your cost will be the amount you pay for “Out of Network” services. We will ask for your co-payment by cash, Visa or MasterCard. You may qualify for a discount by supplying us with household income information. This may help with high deductibles or out of network co-insurance. We cannot wave co-pays but we can reduce co-insurance amounts depending on household income level.
